Hoh Rain Forest was nice but I think my expectations were too high. The Hall of Mosses trail, near the visitors center, is a nice walk (.8 miles). I also went 5 miles down the main Hoh River trail. It was decent but rarely did you get vistas (the river pictures are from the 5 mile mark).
Ruby Beach was great. If I had it to do over I would have shortened the Hoh hike and spent more of this day on the beach. The trail was pretty muddy also. Best Easy Day Hikes: Olympics is a good guide for day hikes in Olympic National Park.
