Mairie De Montreuil metro station. by John Hunter, Sep 1998, Paris. The metro was a great way to get around. Similar to the Tube in London with many stairs making it difficult to carry much luggage around. You have to open the doors yourself, it was not uncommon to see tourists waiting for the doors to open (as they do automatically in many subway systems).
