Cormorant
Cormorant
Nature is amazing. Cormorant are birds that can fly and also swim around underwater for minutes catching fish. They are somewhat similar to penguins in their ability to swim but then retain the ability to fly.

Cormorants are also domesticated by people - with nooses around their neck to prevent them from swallowing the fish they catch. They go off and fish and bring the catch back to their owners.

This one was fishing in the early morning as I watched the sunrise at Angkor Wat.

Angkor Wat is the largest Hindu temple complex in the world, situated at Angkor, Cambodia, built by King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city.
