Six Thinking Hats - technique developed by Edward de Bono to encourage creative thinking. Each "hat" represents a conceptual area and by mentally wearing each of these "hats" a person (or a group) can explore the various ways of examining an issue.
The intent is to reach the most effective ideas by guiding the thinking process; making sure each facet of thinking is taken into account in reaching a conclusion.
